PHPem: DevOps & Containers [User Group Event] (United Kingdom)
Ivan Audisio: DevOps, Containers and the Future

The July 7th meet up is going to be presented by Ivan Audisio from Forest Technologies.

DevOps is changing and rapidly evolving, new technologies are springing up left, right and centre. So too are applications and services. Containers help teams quickly provision new hosts for their products and throw away unnecessary instances rapidly with little user input.

We\'ll talk about the growing DevOps culture and how it can have an effect on your team, how containers can be used to great advantage and finish with a demonstration of containerization using Docker.

Before/After the meetup:

A few members will likely be in the font beforehand for a drink and a bite to eat, and afterwards there\'ll be a group heading to Soar Point (or somewhere else nearby) for a social catch up.

Deacon Street car park is where people usually park, the postcode is LE2 7DP. (There\'s also spots on the street directly outside the gateway building but they\'re usually all taken up!) Deacon Street is available from 6pm onwards as we have permission from the University to use the car park.

If you have any trouble parking / finding us, drop us a tweet @PHPem and we\'ll get you sorted.
